Stay and Spend Tax Credit Scheme

The Stay and Spend Tax Credit was  introduced by The Irish Government to reward Irish taxpayers for supporting the Irish hospitality sector including hotels, restaurants and bars serving food.

You can only claim the tax credit if the business you are spending your money in has registered for the scheme. We at Earls Court House Hotel have registered for the stay and spend scheme.

How does it work?

You can claim the Stay and Spend credit for expenditure incurred between 1 October 2020 and 30 April 2021. This includes expenditure on either:

holiday accommodation

’eat in’ food and non-alcoholic drink

The minimum spend is €25 per transaction. The scheme will provide a maximum credit of €125 per person to tax-payers who spend up to €625. Couples who are jointly assessed can receive a credit up to €250 on expenditure up to €1,250.

The quickest and easiest way to claim your tax credit is through the new Revenue Receipts Tracker App. This is a very simple and quick process.
